Why use this career pathways toolkit?

This Career Pathways Toolkit has been designed for all who are interested in working in Childhood Practice and provides information and guidance on

• Different areas of Childhood Practice

• Career pathways for those already in employment in Childhood Practice to plan a career within the sector

• Career pathways for those who are still at school and who would like to follow a career in Childhood Practice

• Career pathways for those who have no previous experience within the sector who would like to change career

• Continuous learning and Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL), to assist those already in employment to plan training which will enhance their knowledge and skills required for their current role.
