Entry level

To enter at this level you do not require any qualifications or past work experience in this field.  Before applying for employment or qualifications you may find it useful to undertake some volunteering or preliminary learning.   Experience of looking after people in your own family is also very helpful.  You may be still at school and considering a career in care and support services or have left school some time ago, even many years ago, and be looking for a new direction in your life.

Once in employment, your employer should provide you with Induction (introductory learning) and the opportunity to take your learning to the next level.
